As a purpose built, customisable and modern event space, Tahuaroa will bring the wow factor to your next conference. Tahuaroa, the recently opened event space with a venue capacity of 190, has transformed the portfolio of events Waitangi can cater for.

Tahuaroa, meaning large open space, is located in Te Rau Aroha Museum of the Price of Citizenship amongst the native trees of the upper Treaty Grounds. With its own private entrance, wraparound decking and contemporary design, Tahuaroa is a distinctive space for conferences, functions, meetings, weddings and events.

Fitted with a partitioning wall, Tahuaroa can be adapted into three separate rooms, Tahuaroa (200 m2 ), Hokianga (140m2 ) and Taumārere (60 m2 ). Each room comes with integrated technology controls, floor power points, speakers, projectors and air conditioning. The large stacking doors open out onto a private covered deck and courtyard area, perfect for outdoor entertainment and indoor-outdoor flow. Our team can provide a range of catering options, utilising the onsite kitchen, including morning and afternoon tea, á la carte or buffet lunches and dinners, cocktails and canapés and upmarket gala events. The event space has disabled access and seven toilets.

The Learning Centre is located upstairs of Te Kōngahu Museum of Waitangi, central to the entrance of Waitangi Treaty Grounds. This modern conference room offers a venue capacity of 100 which is a comfortable and adaptable venue or a breakout space for groups of many sizes. The room is equipped with built-in speakers, a projector, dual system microphones, central air control (20 degrees per museum requirements) and has floor to ceiling glass windows looking out to native bush.

The Waitangi National Trust boardroom is the ideal location for your next business meeting, breakout space or workshop with a venue capacity of 20 people.

Situated within the Waitangi Treaty Grounds offices, this traditional-style boardroom offers a stunning native bush outlook and provides a quiet, private space. Fitted with built-in audio, projector and air-conditioning, this pleasant space makes an excellent venue to host your next meeting. The Boardroom has disabled access and two toilets.

Waitangi offers a premium state-of-the-art marquee with clear walls and roofing capturing the views and ambiance of the Treaty Grounds. The 15m x 30m premium marquee has black flooring and can seat 300 people. The marquee can be separate into two medium sized marquees, creating break out spaces or extended to suit larger groups.
